The Entertainment Community Fund fosters stability and resiliency and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals throughout their lives. The Fund delivers national human services for people working in film, theater, television, music, opera, radio, and dance—on stage, on camera, and behind the scenes. Founded in 1882, the organization offers a deep understanding of the unique challenges of pursuing a life in the arts and provides critical resources to help individuals thrive in an often unpredictable industry.

GUEST HOST: FINOLA HUGHES

FINOLA HUGHES is perhaps best known for her Emmy Award-winning performance for Outstanding Lead Actress on General Hospital. She originated the role of Victoria the White Cat in the London production of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s musical Cats. Finola then came to the United States for her starring role in the motion picture Stayin’ Alive.

CREATIVE TEAM

ERIC CONGER’s plays have been produced at regional theaters including the Walnut St. Theatre in Philadelphia and the York Theater in NYC, and his one-act works have been presented in Happy Hour at the Ensemble Studio Theater, where he is a member of the Playwrights Unit. He has co-written short films with his daughter Sophia Conger, which have been accepted into major festivals, including Holly Shorts, Garden State, and Cincinnati. He is an Ohio native and a graduate of Wesleyan University and the University of Paris. Proud member of AEA, SAG-AFTRA, and Dramatists Guild.

CADY MCCLAIN is a three-time Emmy© Award-winning actor and the Artistic Director of Axial Theatre. As Artistic Director she produced every production by Axial Theatre since 2022, including ORSON'S SHADOW by Austin Pendleton at Theatre for the New City in NYC, 18 staged readings of new plays and 35 short plays. Her theatrical directorial credits include the full length plays NEVER THE SINNER by John Logan and PAINT MADE FLESH by Howard Meyer (supported by Sotheby’s), the one act play CENSUS by Susan Miller at the Glass Ceiling Breakers Festival and Youlim Nam's one act play JUST A YELLOW CAB IN NEW YORK CITY at The 2025 Chain Winter One Act Festival. Her feature length documentary film SEEING IS BELIEVING: WOMEN DIRECT received a special Jury Award the Newport Beach and the Audience Award at the SOHO Film Festival. Her short documentary on foster youth BURNT FEATHERS BROKEN WINGS won Best Short Film at Paramount Studios’ KITS Awards and the Mystic Film and Best Social Impact Film at the Santa Fe Film Festival. She has also directed the Emmy-nominated series VENICE THE SERIES (for which she has two Emmy© nominations for directing) and SWITCH, starring Olympia Dukakis (Best Pilot, Santa Fe Film Festival). She is proud to have directed "THE PARK" last year at Manhattan Theatre Club's Creative Center as part of the development process of this play.

AMANDA QUINN OLIVAR is a Los Angeles-born curator and producer working across film, theater, and the arts. From 2016 to 2025, she served as Editor-in-Chief of Curator. Her producing credits include the award-winning documentary SEEING IS BELIEVING: WOMEN DIRECT, the play PAINT MADE FLESH (supported by Sotheby’s), and the New York revival of Austin Pendleton’s ORSON'S SHADOW. Amanda has also collaborated on exhibitions at the Cornell Art Museum and the Skirball Cultural Center. She received the HeArt Award for her work with A Window Between Worlds, a nonprofit that uses art to help survivors of domestic violence and trauma.

Amanda serves on the boards of the Smithsonian's Archives of American Art, Axial Theatre, and London’s Fashion and Textile Museum: Friends of Zandra Rhodes. She is a founding board member of The Chimaera Project and an advisory board member of The Residency, a Tuscany-based retreat program for underrepresented artists.

Our Stage Manager YAESOL JEONG is a theatre professional, likely based in Los Angeles, with experience as a stage manager and in technical theatre design and technology. She has worked on productions such as "THE PARK" by Eric Conger, and has experience with the Artists at Play theatre company. She also has an Associate's and Bachelor's degree in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology from Santa Monica College and California State University, Fullerton respectively. Additionally, she is involved with the Hollywood Fringe Festival.

BRETT RYBACK is an actor, composer/lyricist, and writer. Works include: Passing Through (Goodspeed); Nate the Great (TRW); the musical podcast “In Strange Woods;” and the award-winning short plays Weïrd and A Roz By Any Other Name. As an actor, he originated the role of Marcus Off-Broadway in Murder for Two, and more recently appeared in the 1st National Tour of Jack Thorne's A Christmas Carol. He lives in LA with his husband and their miniature schnauzer, Hilde.

THE CAST

JACK CAIN (George Zelinski): is a Los Angeles-based actor from Wisconsin. His previous theatre credits include DESCRIBE THE NIGHT (Steppenwolf Theatre) and TWELFTH NIGHT (8 Ball Theatre). He can be seen on-screen on RANSOM CANYON (Netflix), LOVE VICTOR (Hulu), and THE CHI (Showtime). Jack is an alumnus of USC’s BFA in Acting and is represented by Stewart Talent and Venture Entertainment.

WILL DIXON (Congressman Seaver /Wipple): has been working as a professional actor for 30 years. Currently recurring in the latest from Shondaland: THE RESIDENCE, as Secretary of State Peter Paris. His many television credits include recurring roles as Reporter Kevin on the hit show SCANDAL, Administrator Ferner on GENERAL HOSPITAL and Police Chief Pete on DAYS OF OUR LIVES, Rob on the series TOTALY MEGAN and as Typhon in the series podcast I LOVE LUCIFER. Will has also appeared on such shows as SEINFELD, LAS VEGAS, CHARMED, 90210 and HANG TIME. Will’s film credits include horror classics SECRET SANTA and 13 FANBOY, comedy favorites I SEE YOU DOT COM with Beau Bridges and Rosanna Arquette, and I GOT THE HOOK UP, and action dramas THE RECKONING, FINAL DECISION, and RAW JUSTICE. But Will’s first home and love is the theater. CLAY HOLLANDER (Todd Miller): is an Actor and Musician born raised and based in Los Angeles, California. A graduate of the California Institute of the Arts Acting program Clay has performed in and directed numerous plays in the greater Los Angeles area. Most notably playing Eric in Rogue Machine Theatre Comapany’s “THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE directed by Guillermo Cienfuegos. Selected Television credits include: RAY DONOVAN, THE AFFAIR and THE DOPE THIEF. He played the leading role in AFI’s short film BACKBONE, and will begin production on his first feature film this summer. Since 2022, she has toured her original solo show TRAGIC MAGIC, winning multiple honors including two “Best of the Fest” awards (Whitefire Theatre’s SoloFest), an Encore award (United Solo, NYC), and a Hollywood Producers’ Encore Award (Fringe Festival). The show has been staged in Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco. Sigute has also performed with Echo Theater Company (which she is a member of), Sacred Fools, and Broadwater Theaters. Offstage, she’s a medal-winning U.S. Masters swimmer with national Top 10 finishes and an All-American relay title. MAK SHEALY she/they (stage directions): is a writer and performer originally from a field in South Carolina and now based in Los Angeles. Mak's plays, screenplays and pilots are nerdy, muscular, darkly comic stories usually centered on rural life, queer relationships and the thin line between life and afterlife. Onstage, Mak has most recently been seen in MERRY ME (Diversionary Theatre), Schlitzie: Alive and Inside (Rogue Artists Ensemble). Onscreen you can watch them fall in love in THE HOLIDAY CLUB (Tello), or on LOVE LIFE (HBO). Mak has guest lectured at Union College and The Entertainment Fund. They've been commissioned by Rogue Artists Ensemble and The 24 Hour Plays. JAMES PATRICK STUART (Richard Turkle): James' first role was at the age of 11 starring opposite Lorne Greene as Dr. Zee on ABC’s “GALACTICA 1980.” After attending university in San Francisco, Stuart made a brief appearance in PRETTY WOMAN as a bellhop and was quickly hired by the New York soap, ALL MY CHILDREN as dark horse Will Cortlandt. He left the soap in 1992 an Emmy nominee. Shortly after, James was offered the life-changing role of Brett, Elaine’s egocentric, furniture designing boyfriend with a soft spot for the song “Desperado,” in a popular episode of SEINFELD and, a few months later, appeared as “Gee”, a French ski instructor with the hots for Niles on the iconic “Ski Lodge” episode of FRAISER. Most recently Will appeared as Dr Dorn in Chekhov’s classic THE SEAGULL at the Odyssey theater, LETTERS FROM THE BLACK SEA by Oliver Mayer with LA’s own Latino Theater Co, and at the mighty Fountain Theater in hard hitting social impact story DETAINED, now more relevant than ever. Will also directed three films including writing and directing the award winning short TRAILER TALK, starring TV and film stalwarts Ron Canada, Grodon Clapp and James Parks. Will was born under the Big Sky in the great state of Montana and now lives, works, and often golfs, in Los Angeles Ca.

PRESCILIANA ESPAROLINI (Carole Zelinski): is thrilled to be working with Director, Cady McClain in the reading of THE PARK. Recently, she worked in the regional production of, I AM NOT YOUR PERFECT MEXICAN DAUGHTER at the Greenway Court. Off Broadway, she originated the role of “Maria” in the production of OUR MAN IN SANTIAGO. Some of her theatre credits include the Manhattan Playhouse, La Jolla Playhouse, The Road Theatre, The Odyssey, Boston Court & many more. A few of her starring TV appearances include MAYANS M.C., NCIS: HAWAII, NCIS: L.A., ALL RISE, THE ROOKIE, 9-1-1, GOLIATH, GAME OF SILENCE, RAY DONOVAN, and THIRTEEN REASONS WHY. Her film work can be seen in the movie, CHERRY directed by Joe & Anthony Russo, THE DISAPPEARANCE OF MRS. WU, directed by Anna Chi,and SPLINTER w/ Debbie Allen. Recent releases include OLD FLAMES directed by Stephan Brand, MISS VIRGINIA with Uzo Aduba, and YouTube’s Original, THE THINNING: NEW WORLD ORDER. Presciliana has studied with master teachers Larry Moss, Deb Aquila, John Patrick Shanley, and Patsy Rodenburg. She received her MFA from the American Conservatory of Theatre (ACT). She is a proud member of The Road Theatre Company, The Actors Studio (finalist), as well as an instructor at The Aquila Studio.

CLAY HOLLANDER (Todd Miller): is an Actor and Musician born raised and based in Los Angeles, California. A graduate of the California Institute of the Arts Acting program Clay has performed in and directed numerous plays in the greater Los Angeles area. Most notably playing Eric in Rogue Machine Theatre Comapany’s “THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE directed by Guillermo Cienfuegos. Selected Television credits include: RAY DONOVAN, THE AFFAIR and THE DOPE THIEF. He played the leading role in AFI’s short film BACKBONE, and will begin production on his first feature film this summer. In addition to his acting work, Clay is a member of Los Angeles hardcore band MKNAOMI. He sends his gratitude to friends, loved ones, and all members of the entertainment community.

KATHARINE LEE MCEWAN (Cynthia Miller): is an award-winning British actress, writer and producer. Her films have been invited to over a hundred film festivals world-wide, including screenings in New York, Moscow, Sydney and Toronto. Katharine wrote, produced and starred in the critically acclaimed British drama SOLITARY (Electric Entertainment) which was the recipient of 17 festival awards and the opening night film of the Chelsea Film Festival in New York and the London Independent Film Festival, where it won Best UK Feature. Katharine’s theatre credits include THE VERDI GIRLS at Laguna Playhouse, PRIVATE LIVES at the Long Beach Playhouse, Agatha Christie’s BLACK COFFEE at Theatre 40 and MEDEA at Stage Lee Strasberg. Recent writing credits include HELL HATH NO FURY starring Nina Bergman and Daniel Bernhardt (Well Go USA Entertainment) and WHITE ELEPHANT (AMC+) starring Bruce Willis, John Malkovich and Olga Kurylenko. Katharine recently played the role of Mary Anne in the Mexican thriller PUEBLOS SANGRIENTOS directed by Sharon Alpuche.

SIGUTE MILLER (Paulina Zelinski /Fanny): has been a theater actress for over 50 years. A 30-year member of the LA Lithuanian Theater Company Sambūris, she has performed across the U.S. and Lithuania, earning two Best Actress awards at international festivals. Since 2022, she has toured her original solo show TRAGIC MAGIC, winning multiple honors including two “Best of the Fest” awards (Whitefire Theatre’s SoloFest), an Encore award (United Solo, NYC), and a Hollywood Producers’ Encore Award (Fringe Festival). The show has been staged in Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco. Sigute has also performed with Echo Theater Company (which she is a member of), Sacred Fools, and Broadwater Theaters. Her favorite roles include the comedic FREUD ON COCAINE and the moving 9/11 tribute THE GUYS at Victory Theater. Offstage, she’s a medal-winning U.S. Masters swimmer with national Top 10 finishes and an All-American relay title. A lifelong scout, she served as Western Regional Director of Lithuanian Scouts and is active in “Gražinietės” and the “Daughters of Lithuania.” She is also a proud member of SAG-AFTRA.

LARRY POINDEXTER (Mayor Dan): most recently made his NYC stage debut (as an actor) in award-winning FATHERLAND at Manhattan Theatre Club, City Center. Prior to that he performed in the Ovation Nominated musical THE DEVIL YOU KNOW, a rhythm & blues story – for which he also wrote the music & lyrics and co-wrote the libretto. Other theatre; THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA, TENDER IS THE NIGHT, THE GOLDEN GATE and THE BOYS IN THE BAND. With The Troubies; MUCH A DOOBIE BROTHERS ABOUT NOTHING, THE COMEDY OF AEROSMITH & FLEETWOOD MACBETH. He played Jack/Jesus in the L.A. run of REEFER MADNESS (for which he received an Ovation Award), Mario in the long-running immersive TAMARA, as well as many more regional, stock and touring productions. Producer; THE CHER SHOW (on Broadway), SAVED BY THE BELL: THE MUSICAL, CADILLAC JACK’S, THIN ICE and coming in fall 2026; WOMEN IN JEOPARDY at 59E59 in NYC. On TV; 150+ hours, most recently: STATION 19, THE ROOKIE, 9-1-1, S.W.A.T., CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM. Film: 17 AGAIN, S.W.A.T. INTRODUCING DOROTHY DANDRIDGE and many, many more. He fronted 90’s Alt-Country band The High Lonesome and continues to place music in film & TV. He is the son of Tony-winning lighting designer HR Poindexter, married to Carol Kritzer and father to Jake & Rees.

MAK SHEALY she/they (stage directions): is a writer and performer originally from a field in South Carolina and now based in Los Angeles. Mak's plays, screenplays and pilots are nerdy, muscular, darkly comic stories usually centered on rural life, queer relationships and the thin line between life and afterlife. Onstage, Mak has most recently been seen in MERRY ME (Diversionary Theatre), Schlitzie: Alive and Inside (Rogue Artists Ensemble). Onscreen you can watch them fall in love in THE HOLIDAY CLUB (Tello), or on LOVE LIFE (HBO). Mak has guest lectured at Union College and The Entertainment Fund. They've been commissioned by Rogue Artists Ensemble and The 24 Hour Plays. They recently toured their debut solo show LEAKY (a digestive traumady) on both coasts and their pilot CAROLINA KINGS was in the top 25 for ATX's Pitch Competition (2025). In their spare time, they are writing their debut novel, Noodle Bug. BFA: New York University.

JAMES PATRICK STUART (Richard Turkle): James' first role was at the age of 11 starring opposite Lorne Greene as Dr. Zee on ABC’s “GALACTICA 1980.” After attending university in San Francisco, Stuart made a brief appearance in PRETTY WOMAN as a bellhop and was quickly hired by the New York soap, ALL MY CHILDREN as dark horse Will Cortlandt. He left the soap in 1992 an Emmy nominee. Shortly after, James was offered the life-changing role of Brett, Elaine’s egocentric, furniture designing boyfriend with a soft spot for the song “Desperado,” in a popular episode of SEINFELD and, a few months later, appeared as “Gee”, a French ski instructor with the hots for Niles on the iconic “Ski Lodge” episode of FRAISER. Stuart continued to enjoy an extremely prolific television career joining the casts of many funny network comedy pilots with Steve Carell, Janine Garaffallo, Jennifer Love-Hewitt, Chris Kattan and Heather Graham while maintaining recurring roles on popular network hits like CSI, THE CLOSER, THE MENTALIST, TWO BROKE GIRLS and HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER. In 2011, James joined the cast of CW’s “SUPERNATURAL as big baddie, “Dick Roman.” In 2016, he joined the cast of ABC’s long running soap, “GENERAL HOSPITAL as Valentin Cassadine and, in 2021,he joined the cast of the hit Disney Channel comedy VILLIANS OF VALLEY VIEW as the head villain, Kraniac. Stuart has long maintained a successful voice over career, famously voicing the role of “Private” on Nickelodeon’s wildly popular PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR animated series. Currently, he can still be heard voicing the role of “Zeg” on Nickelodeon’s “BLAZE AND THE MONSTER MACHINES which is entering its eighth season, and “One-Eyed Wally” on Disney Channel’s AMPHIBIA. James currently lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, Jocelyn.

SOFIA VASSILIEVA ("Emily Miller"): began her career in the titular role of ABC Disney’s ELOISE AT THE PLAZA AT CHRISTMASTIME, starring alongside Julie Andrews. She was a series regular on CBS/NBC’s MEDIUM, opposite Patricia Arquette, and starred with Cameron Diaz & Alec Baldwin in New Line Cinema’s adaptation of Jodi Picoult’s MY SISTER’S KEEPER, directed by Nick Cassavetes. Since graduating from Columbia University, with honors in Linguistics & Business, Sofia appeared as a series regular in Josh Schwartz/Stephanie Savage’s Hulu series LOOKING FOR ALASKA, based on the John Green novel, and worked opposite Rami Malek & Jared Leto in John Lee Hancock’s THE LITTLE THINGS, also starring Denzel Washington. In the summer of 2024, she produced and starred in the sold-out LA run of Pulitzer Prize Finalist Rajiv Joseph’s two-hander GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES directed by Barbara Bain. She can currently be seen as Rosanna Arquette & Kevin Pollack’s daughter in HERE’S YIANNI - in festivals - and recurring on LaToya Morgan & JJ Abrams’s series DUSTER, now streaming HBO Max. She is also a dancer, runner, polyglot, equestrian, developing playwright, & documentarian - writing, producing, directing, and editing IN CONVERSATION WITH LOU ANTONIO.
