Jenn Bedell (Emma, The Color Enthusiast) is a Pace University graduate with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Some of her favorite past roles include: Amalia Balash in She Loves Me, Rosie in Bye Bye Birdie, Grace Farrell in Annie, and Cinderella in Into the Woods. Throughout the past year, she’s been fortunate enough to originate roles in many virtual productions. Most recently, she originated the role of Kat in a new musical: Safe & Sound. The role she loves most of all, however, is being mom to her 2 daughters, Nola & Sophia. A big thank you to everyone at Axial, but especially Jeff for being the calm to my crazy in this show! Julie Griffin (Writer & Julie, COVID Singles Meet) is a proud member of Axial theatre. She is a graduate of The Goodman School of Drama in Chicago and has studied, performed and taught improv for the past 30 years. She also works as a Voice Over artist and plays a mean Kazoo! She is thrilled to be in March Madness with all of these wildly talented people! It has been an honor working with Susan Ward on our project, and a thrill to be directed by Catherine Banks! Just a side note...she was wearing pants during the filming of Covid Singles Meet. Sweatpants perhaps, but pants none the less.

(Sara, I'll Get The Wine) As a session singer and voiceover artist, Jaime has sung/spoken for Coke, Dr. Pepper, Pillsbury, Chevy, Nabisco, Folger’s, Denny’s, Kellogg’s and many more. She’s performed live and digitally with Johnny Mathis, Barbra Streisand, Jimmy Webb, Leon Russell, Sam Moore, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil and others. As an actor, she toured with MurderMystery.com for events in Nashville, Las Vegas, St. Louis, Kansas City and Tunica. Jaime was in the Vineyard Playhouse’s production of “Search: Paul Clayton” (a 1960’s folk-rock musical drama), which headed from Martha’s Vineyard to a month-long off-Broadway run. She also toured nationally with “Old Jews Telling Jokes”, with performances in California, the Midwest and the Southeast. Albi Gorn

ALBI GORN (Playwright, The Rub). Albi has written more than 40 plays over the past 30 years, has been produced all over the U.S., Mexico and England and has won dozens of playwriting contests and original work festivals.. Often employing fantasy elements, his full-length plays employ themes ranging from oppression to reincarnation to faith to justice and beyond, while his short comedies mostly focus on the unique glue that helps keep otherwise dysfunctional relationships together. His full-length play Back to the Garden was produced in 2019 at Axial, and several other short plays have been produced by Axial over the past few years. He and his wife, Robin Anne Joseph, run GoJo Clan Productions (gojoclanproductions.com), a local theater company. His plays, prose and songs can be read and/or heard at his website: albigorn.com.

Catherine Banks

Catherine (Director: The Other Other Man, Heartbreak On Board, COVID Singles Meet & The Color Enthusiast; Virginia in Acushla, and Bridget in It's Just You and Me ,Bro, On Valentine's Day) is the Artistic Director at Axial Theatre. In addition to her AD and producing duties, she has directed and acted in several Twisted Valentines FestivalsShe directed Axial's Main Stage production of  August Osage County in the spring of 2019. She is currently a teacher for  Howard Meyer's Acting Program, directs the student workshop series with Rachel Jones for HM Acting and is proud to be a member of Axial Theatre.

Jeffrey Schlotman

JEFF SCHLOTMAN (Walter, Stiff Upper Lip) is appearing on Axial’s stage for the third time. Previously seen as Charlie Aiken in last season's August Osage County He made his Axial debut as Floyd in Albi Gorn’s Dream Lover, one of the plays in Axial’s Twisted Valentines 2019. Other recent appearances include: the Stage Manager, Our Town; Froggy LeSeuer,The Foreigner; Colonel Gillweather, Something’s Afoot; Doctor Zubritsky, Fools; Producer Feldzieg, The Drowsy Chaperone; Nat Miller, Ah, Wilderness!; The Major General, The Pirates of Penzance; and Saunders, Lend Me A Tenor. He loves to don the mantle of “character” actor and “curmudgeon” and to that effect has been busy doing just that. Among his “rogues” are: Henry Higgins, My Fair Lady; Scrooge, A Christmas Carol; Captain Hook, Peter Pan; Juan Peron, Evita; Professor Callahan, Legally Blonde; Fagin, Oliver; Salieri, Amadeus; Oscar Madison, The Odd Couple; the King, The King & I; and Judge Danforth, The Crucible. When not onstage Jeff “bridges the gap” as Dr. Schlotman, White Plains dentist to the stars! He is the number one fan of daughter, Emily, and her goldendoodle, Bailey!

David Fritsch

(Director, I'll Get The Wine) This is Dave’s first time directing for the Axial group. He is a 6th grade math and science teacher at John Jay Middle School where he has directed more than 34 musicals and plays. He has directed at the Heights Players in Brooklyn, the Bedford Community Theater, the Fort Hill Players and the Ridgefield Theater Barn. Dave’s most recent roles include Vanya, in Vanya and Sonya and Masha Spike at TheaterWorks New Milford, and Frank in Body Awareness, and Andre in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, both at RTB. He is also a member of the Ridgefield Theater Barn’s improv group, the Role in the Hay Players. Dave is thrilled to find the joy again of working with live actors, and would like to thank his cast, Jaime and Chris, as well as the crew at Axial. Thanks, Susan, for the nod.

David (Colin, The Other Other Man)recently returned to acting after many years pursuing things he didn’t particularly care for, and is thrilled to be included in Axial Theatre’s March Madness Festival. He has worked as a voice-over and commercial actor, spent several years performing stand-up comedy in New York City, and co-hosts a syndicated radio show, “Everything Old is New Again”. He currently studies acting in the Howard Meyer’s Acting Program with Catherine Banks and Rachel Jones.

Carol Mark (Writer, I'll Get The Wine & The Other Other Man ) first studied playwriting at Axial Theater many moons ago under the tutorship of Tony Howarth. She is currently a member of WCT (Westchester Collaborative Theater) and her play ‘Hey Dad’ featuring Rob Ansbro and directed by Christopher Arena is part of the WCT/OAC Living Art Event that is being streamed online every Saturday night in March. Also, her play ‘One of the Those People’ was just selected to the finals of the 2021 Aery 20/20 Festival in April at the Garrison Depot Theater. Stephen Baluzy

Stephen Baluzy (Writer, It's Just You and Me, Bro, On Valentine's Day)is a playwright who has written many short plays and monologues. His one act “ Calculating” appeared most recently in Axial Theatre’s main stage Twisted Valentine’s 2020. “The Great Thing About Me” was selected for the Ridgefield Theatre Barn’s 2018 one-acts production. His play  “Like A Virgin” was a semi-finalist in the 2016 Aery Festival in Garrison, New York. His plays “ The Date” and “ The Three Deuces” were included in student workshop productions at Howard Meyer Acting Program in Pleasantville, New York. He is frequently commissioned by actors to create comedic monologues and standup material. He is currently working on a full-length play. He wishes to thank his cast and his beautiful wife (who also directed this play), for their hard work and dedication.

Michael E. Boyle, Jr.

MICHAEL E. BOYLE, JR. (George in It's Just You and Me, Bro, On Valentine's Day and Padre in Stiff Upper Lip) is on the Axial Theatre board and is also an Axial Ensemble member who most recently appeared as "George" in Calculating in Twisted Valentine 2020 and Shomein in Axial/GoJo's Production of Back To The Garden. He was also seen as Bill Fordham in Axial's production of August: Osage County in the Spring of 2019, as well as, Doc in Axial’s spring 2018 production, Crimes of the Heart. Other appearances with Axial include: Nectar; The Seagull; Dead Man's Cell Phone; A Doll's House (Understudy, 4 performances),; Doctor! Doctor!; Welcome to Norway; Double Date; A Day of Wonderful; More Myself Than I Am, and Requiem for a Third Wheel.Outside the theater, Michael teaches social studies at Eastchester High School. He also was an elected member of the New Rochelle City Council from 2000-2008. His acting training from 2008 to the present has been with the HMA Program, including Howard's master class, and study with Rachel Jones. Thank you Steve, Rachel, Anthony and Cat for helping me to continue the "George and Mike" Journey. Linda Bidwell Delaney

Linda Bidwell Delaney (Playwright, Heartbreak on Board) wrote poems, mostly light verse and languishing love ballads, before becoming a playwright, so she tries to sneak them into her plays whenever she can. This was her most brazen attempt and she is delighted that it was included in March Madness. Last year, her play, Okay, Valentine, was a part of Axial’s Twisted Valentines. Her works have also been seen locally at Westchester Collaborative Theater, Glass Ceiling Breakers, the Aery 20/20 festival, The Irvington Town Hall Theatre, and The White Plains Performing Arts Center. Her other adventures include the Berkshire’s WAM theater, a Christmas show on Schenectady’s Proctors Theater’s mainstage, and the inclusion of one of her plays in the TANYS (Theater Association of New York State) Festival. She is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild. Thank you, Cat and Sabrina, for balancing twistedness and madness with a shot of silliness.

Sabrina Fuchs

SABRINA FUCHS (Axial Stage Manager & Peggy Sue, Heartbreak on Board). Sabrina is a graduate of Muhlenberg College's Theatre/ Acting Concentration program and the Neighborhood Playhouse's Summer Conservatory Program. She has been working with Axial since 2017 and is excited to continue, even during these crazy times! Currently she's working in Technology Support in Chappaqua NY and patiently waiting for life to feel normal again. Until then stay safe out there and enjoy virtual theatrical productions!

Jacqueline Anne Smith

Jacqueline Anne Smith (Marieke, The Rub) is a National Board Certified Teacher. She works in Yonkers where she is juggling the challenges of teaching her kindergarten class both online and in person. Ms Smith has been involved with community theater for over 10 years and is a member of YCPTW’s Board of Directors. The Rub isn’t the first time she has acted with Dr Simon. They played opposite each other in YCPTW’s productions of California Suite(2013) and Almost Maine(2019) and in Bruce Pearl’s Once More the Butler and Albi Gorn’s Regression (2016). Being part of this show has proven to be a most enjoyable, albeit virtual, trip back to the stage for Jacqueline. Her favorite roles include Mrs Markham (Move Over Mrs Markham, 2010) and Savannah (Mama Won’t Fly, 2013) and especially mother to Anthony(2003) and Tommy(2005) and S.O. to the man she is thrilled to be acting with in this production. Gary Simon (Jeff, The Rub) Axial Theatre debut. Gary is an award winning actor, producer, and artistic director. Though a seasoned veteran of contemporary comedy and drama, Gary seems to have an affinity for performing in original one-act plays, especially those written by Albi Gorn, including Double Date, Regression, The Date Dinger, and the full-length Diminished Capacity. Most recently, Gary was seen in M & M Production's A Midsummer Night's Dream at Lyndhurst Mansion. NYC/Regional Festivals: NY Winterfest, Manhattan Repertory Theater, Samuel French, Strawberry, NY International Fringe, Ariane, Theater Association of New York State, Eastern States Theater Association. When not on stage, Gary entertains his patients as dentist to the stars in Cortlandt Manor, NY, and extends love to his girlfriend Jacqueline, and children Addison and Scott.

Dan Walworth

Dan Walworth (Paul, Nothing Happened) is pleased to be making his fourth appearance in March Madness/Twisted Valentines, where his former performances include In the Meantime (Paul), The Space In-Between (James), Twisted Metal (David), and The Doll (Man). Some of Dan’s recent full-length performances include Rabbit Hole (Howie), Crimes of the Heart (Barnette), A Doll’s House (Torvald), and The Seagull (Medvedenko). Dan is currently an Axial Theatre Company Member and began acting as a student of Howard Meyer’s Acting Program. He lives in South Salem with his wife, son, and daughter.

Harry (Mike, The Other Other Man) began studying acting in 2019 at a Stanislavski-based studio in Los Angeles before becoming a student of the Meisner Technique at Howard Meyer’s Acting Program in 2020. He has acted in several short films and directed a documentary as an undergraduate at the University of Connecticut. This is his first performance with Axial Theater.

Robin Anne Joseph

Robin Anne Joseph (Director, The Rub) has been acting, directing and playwriting in and around the NY Metro area for over 45 years. She has directed locally for Center Stage, Fort Hill Players, Chappaqua Drama Group, Logodaedaly, Axial Theatre and her own company GoJo Clan Productions. When not on a stage somewhere, Robin can be found on the “bimah” (stage) at Temple Beth Shalom in Hastings-on-Hudson where she serves as cantor. With her husband, Albi Gorn, she is the co-artistic and managing director of GoJo Clan Productions www.gojoclanproductions.com and co-producer of children Kobe and Jennie.

James Balestrieri

Jim Balestrieri (Writer, Stiff Upper Lip)’s first play, Scissors, Paper, Stone was performed in an abandoned brewery in the seaside college town of Aberystwyth, Wales. He was hooked. Jim was a Screenwriting Fellow at the American Film Institute and earned his MFA in Playwriting from Carnegie-Mellon University. His plays have been produced in numerous venues in the region and elsewhere. His screenplay, The Ballad of Ethan Burns, became a novella published by Aisle Seat Books in 2013. His short story, Perch, will appear in Short Story America, Volume 7, later this year and he is working on a monograph on American painter Clark Hulings for the Clark Hulings Foundation. Jim is happy to be collaborating with Axial Theatre for the first time.

Evelyn Mertens (Writer, Nothing Happened) has had plays and monologues produced through Axial Theatre’s Twisted Valentines and other productions; Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT)’s Living Art Events and various short play and monologue festivals; the 20/20 Aery Theatre where she was a finalist several times; the Ariane Festival; Irvington Town Hall Theatre’s Stage Door series; the Library series; and Manhattan Rep. She studied acting through the master level in Howard Meyer’s Acting Program, a division of Axial Theatre, and at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Circle in the Square.

Rachel Jones

Rachel Jones ( Director Acushla & It’s Just You and Me, Bro, On Valentine's Day) is a founding member of Axial Theatre and has directed extensively for Axial. She has served as the Director of Performance Workshops for Axial’s educational affiliate HMActing for the past fifteen years, where she is also a teacher. She directed the Axial main-stage productions of “Crimes of the Heart”, “Dead Man’s Cell Phone”, “The Kiss” and “Persephone Rising”. She has directed numerous one acts over the years in many different productions. She currently co-teaches a multi-level zoom class with Catherine Banks for HMActing and is inspired by the creativity and community that exists in these zoom formats- like this one act festival!- during this time of great challenge. Kudos to her wonderful actors and playwrights for making this experience an absolute pleasure! Special thanks to Cat, Ginny, Jim and Sabrina for their support. Anthony Barresi

Anthony ( Mike, It's Just you and Me, Bro, On Valentine's Day) began studying acting in 2014 with Rachel Jones through HM Acting and is now a student of Howard Meyers's Master Class. Anthony was most recently seen in Axial's 2018 Twisted Valentine's production as Pete in Lisa Kimball's Miss Pudding Doesn’t Work Here Anymore and as Brian in Dear Crossing in the Spring 2017 production of Glass Ceiling Breakers.  Other recent stage credits include: Lawrence in For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls, Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Yakov in Chekhov's The Seagull, and several one-act plays, including All’s Fair in Love and Science, Stray Gloves, Balls, One-Hour Martinizing, and Three. Anthony is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, and a passionate fan of the New York Mets and New York Jets.

Susan Ward (Writer & Cathy for Covid Singles Meet; Writer & Susan for Wasbian) is a member of Axial Ensemble. She has been acting and studying acting for most of her life. She holds BFA in Musical Theatre from Florida State University. In 2019 her show “Wasbian” was awarded Best Autobiographical One Woman Show in the United Solo Festival. Sandy Rooney (Louise, Acushla) is a graduate of the William Esper Studio in NYC and has been performing in theater, TV and film since 2001. One of her favorite roles included portraying three different characters in the original play "Chain Reaction" which was a part of the New York International Fringe Festival in 2012. Another career highlight was as a first-time producer (as well as performer) in another original play called "The Atomic View Motel" - which met with sold out audiences in NYC’s theater district. Now a Westchester resident, Sandy is proud to be an ensemble member of Axial Theatre and regularly performs in their yearly “Twisted Valentine” festival. Sandy loves the thrill and spontaneity of performing onstage – but, given the pandemic, this Zoom venue is definitely a fun alternative! Thank you, Ginny Reynolds, for the opportunity to tell this beautiful and very personal story of two women in love in “Acushla.”

Matt Austin

Matt Austin (Leonard, Pantywear)- Matt is excited for his first show with Axial. He has been seen on the stage acting in 100+ productions in the tri state area over the last 20 years, including Little Shop of Horrors, Boeing Boeing and the CT premiere of An Act of God (which won an AACT award). He has directed many productions including The Divine Sister and The Book of Liz and The Lyons. As an improviser, he is a graduate of the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater, where he was also fortunate enough to perform for a short time. He currently performs regularly with Sea Tea Comedy Theater in Hartford, CT and is a member of their international touring company. Most recently he became the Artistic Director of the Sherman Playhouse in Sherman CT. The job that actually pays the bills and fill most of his days is as the Director of Education, Training & Outreach at The Women’s Center of Greater Danbury.

Marilyn Collazo

JMarilyn Collazo (Lexi, Nothing Happened) is an Axial Theatre Company Member. She last performed in Axial's 2020 Twisted Valentines Production playing the role of Raquel the Waitress in Love Contained & Calculating. While she misses live performances, she thanks Axial and everyone who made this possible for giving her a chance to wake up from the pandemic slumber! She also thanks Ginny, Dan & Jim for their tremendous collaboration.
