CATHERINE BANKS (Audrey) is a member of Axial’s Ensemble and is overjoyed to be returning to the Axial stage. Thanks to Rachel Jones and Howard Meyer, she has found a way back to the stage after a long hiatus. Roles since her return include Tracey in Dear Crossing, Alex in Othertown, Chloe in Almost Noble, Gloria in Dismantling, Linda in Gone, and Pfeni in The Sisters Rosensweig. She has a BA in Theater from UNC-Chapel Hill and has been involved in the theater, onstage or behind the scenes, for the best years of her life. She recently had two shows, Almost Noble and Go Ask Alice, advance to the Aery 20/20 Festival semi-final rounds in her first Aery appearance as an actor and a director. She would like to thank Katie for her imagination, Christina for her vision, the entire creative and technical team for creating the Nectar world, and her cast mates for the fantastic journey. MICHAEL E. BOYLE, JR. (Henry) is an Axial Ensemble member with roles in Axial's The Seagull, Dead Man's Cell Phone, A Doll's House (Understudy, 4 performances), Doctor! Doctor!, Welcome to Norway, Double Date and A Day of Wonderful as well as Aery Theatre Company 20/20: St. John. Outside the theater, Michael teaches social studies and is the Social Studies Department Chairman at Eastchester High School. He also was an elected member of the New Rochelle City Council from 2000-2008. His acting training from 2008 to the present has been with the HM Acting Program, including Howard's Master Class, and study with Rachel Jones. He graduated with a Theatre minor from SUNY Albany
GAIL GREENSTEIN (Nurse) has been an Axial Ensemble member for 16 years. In addition to her work with Axial, Gail has had more than 40 years in theater and dance and musical comedy. She is grateful, once again, for the opportunity to do what she loves so dearly—act! Thank you, Axial family.
ANNE HAMMOND (Chloe) is an Axial Ensemble member who has appeared in The Forced Marriage, A Doctor in Spite of Himself, and Rhinoceros at Cincinnati Playhouse-in-the-Park; The Playboy of the Western World, The Tempest. and Under Milkwood at Milwaukee Repertory Theatre; The Maids at Poet's Theatre, Cambridge; Dos Passos' USA at Provincetown Playhouse; the film of Tolstoy's Power of Darkness, and the films Last Fall and Spotless.
PATRICK MCGUINNESS (J.P.) is a member of Axial’s Ensemble. He has a theater degree from Binghamton University with post-graduate study at Trinity Rep Conservatory in Providence. He appeared in film as Junior in One Eyed King, directed by Academy Award-winning director Bobby Moresco. Theater credits include: One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Godspell, South Pacific, Macbeth, Brigadoon, Rope and Arsenic and Old Lace, among many others. Patrick is proud and honored to be returning to the Axial stage, after performing as Charlie in Gabrielle Fox’s The Second Coming. He thanks his wife Claudia, daughter Molly and the rest of his family, friends and co-workers for their continued support.
JOHN-RILEY O’HANDLEY (Christopher) is proud to be making his Axial Theatre debut as Christopher in Nectar. Recent work includes productions of Wide Awake Hearts, Funnyhouse of a Negro, and Pains of Youth. John-Riley is also dedicated to working on new plays and has originated several roles including Henrik in Adios Fjord, and Kevin in Bone Cage. Upcoming projects include The Crew (Webseries), Blind Face (Short Film), and The Phenomenon (Audio Series). Outside of acting, John-Riley works as a teaching artist with Irondale Ensemble, a development coordinator with The Barrow Group, and a producer of independent theatre and film. MARY ROBERTS (Nastya) is beyond excited to be performing at Axial for the second time! Past theater credits include Meg ("Meeg") in A Day of Wonderful (Axial's Glass Ceiling Breakers), and Mary Warren in a recent staged reading of The Crucible at Muscoot Farm, where she also works as an educator. Mary has worked in independent films and commercials and has studied with HMActing, Jen Krater, The Second City Hollywood, and Lesly Kahn. She holds a B.A. in Theater from Union College. Thank you to Ms. Baldwin Eng for creating Nastya, and the entire cast and crew for helping me bring her to life--it's been an honor! Love to my family and Jonathon, mi amas vin!
SANDY ROONEY (Margot) is a graduate of the William Esper Studio in NYC where she studied under the tutelage of Suzanne Esper. She has had both leading and supporting roles in numerous film, television and theater projects throughout Manhattan and is thrilled to be performing in her hometown of Westchester! Her favorite roles include the three characters she portrayed in the original play Chain Reaction (which was part of The New York International Fringe Festival in 2012), and Dottie Jones in the hilarious original play, The Atomic View Motel, where she also served as producer. An obvious fan of original work, Sandy is so excited to be a part of this production with such talented artists.
SUSAN WARD (Veronique) is an Axial Company member. She is so happy for the opportunity to work with Christina Roussos in Katie Baldwin Eng’s delicious new play. In the past, she has been seen mostly on the stage in NYC, FL, MA and GA acting, singing and dancing. And it’s always a pleasure be in an Axial Production. Bon Appetit!
