BIO
Susan Jennifer Polese’s full-length play Klaus’ Closet was produced Off-Broadway by The American Theatre for Actors at the Beckmann Theatre, and subsequently at the Westbeth Artist’s Residency in New York City in 1993. Her play After A Night With Abe was produced in 1998 as part of a One-Act Festival at the Herbert Mark Newman Theatre in Pleasantville, NY. Susan has studied playwriting and acting in Manhattan at Wonderhorse Theatre, Herbert Berghof Studio, The Forum for Italian-American Playwrights and Hunter College. Her play Under the One-Time Sky will be performed by Axial Theatre in Fall, 2003. At the S.U.N.Y. Youth Theatre at Purchase College she taught playwriting to children axnd young adults and was a part of the Schoolhouse Writer’s Workshop in Croton Falls, NY. As a journalist, Susan has written extensively about theater for The Advocate, The Journal News and The New York Times. Susan is a member of the Dramatist’s Guild, and currently teaches playwriting for Howard Meyer’s Acting Program.
