Missing Parts, Four One-Act Plays about the Search for Connection

Missing Parts
by Patrick Davin

A disconsolate man walks into an empty bar on the 4th of July looking to get drunk
after being dumped by his true love. Her only patron all day, the bartender,
a woman, decides to join him in his quest towards inebriation. In the process,
they find out they have alot more in common than just getting lost in the booze.

Shroud of Turin
by Linda Giuliano

A blue bottle and can of beans force a homeless man and woman to face demons
and dreams. The Shroud of Turin provides a glimpse into the lives of people
living on the periphery. It is a story about the search for home.

Under The One-Time Sky
by Susan Jennifer Polese

Some things hold you hostage no matter how hard you try to escape. For Dwight it is
something he witnessed as a child, right in his neighbor’s backyard, right in broad daylight.
And for Christine it is that very same thing; only for her it was the event she had to endure.
After all these years, Dwight has returned to his home-town, to his neighbor Christine’s
yard, to finally confront the secret that has plagued them both all these years.

Jerry
by Howard Meyer

Jerry Hughes has been having an adulterous affair with his neighbor’s wife Evelyn Green. Denise Lapuda,
Jerry’s friend, hair dresser, and part-time psychic is here today to finally spill the beans about his wife
Cherrie’s affair...... with Evelyn’s husband Don. Things go from bad to worse when Evelyn arrives and the
real truth about their spouses’ affair is revealed. This dark comedic romp explores the desperate search for
connection and the trouble that develops when we pick the wrong partners.

Bingo
by Wayne Mitchell

Week in and week out five men meet at this Hell's Kitchen watering hole, in an effort to raise a little
money for the local firehouse in the wake of September 11th. They also gather to help each other find
answers to the unanswerable, but as more things change, the more they stay the same.

Spring Production, June, 2004
Billy Bubblehead
by Tony Howarth

Billy is impulsive and explosive, and in the wake of a family tragedy he uses
his rich imagination against what he sees as a perverse and pointless world
and a father who won’t make the effort to understand him - until the arrival of
Cassie. Her secret past gives him peace and perspective but brings him to new
and disturbing conclusion about what must be done about the conflict with his
father. With much humor and a deep heart, the play wrestles with the age old
question of parent/child disconnection.
